Saving the poor in Kenya's slums - 21 Oct 2012

The next time you pop to your nearest supermarket and complain about the cost of your weekly shopping bill, think of those living in African slums. Most of them survive on food that we'd throw out without a second thought and are chronically malnourished. But one Christian charity is helping the poorest of the poor there. Rev. FRANKLYN OTWOMA is the Director of 'Vision Peoples in Mission'. He and his wife, VIOLET, are working in a slum in Nairobi - providing a church, medical care, education and an orphanage. John Pantry caught up with them, to chat about their near-impossible task, trying to feed the starving in such a tough economic climate:
