Cindy Kent
Cindy was the first presenter to be signed up for Premier in 1995.
But her showbiz roots reach much deeper. She was in 'the business' for many years as the lead singer with The Settlers - the pop-folk group who had a hit with The Lightning Tree, the theme song to the TV show Follyfoot. They travelled the world with their special brand of music.
She developed a great love for radio and began working in the medium, starting with Radio 4, then 2 and then 1 - which may, or may not, be progression, depending on your listening habits.
She was there at the birth of commercial radio in this country working for LBC, Radio Hallam and Capital Radio.
Cindy developed a love for training and worked with corporations, police and politicians. This led to her developing a Media Awareness Project for the Mothers' Union, taking her to Australia, Canada and many parts of the UK.
Cindy was licensed as a Reader in the Church of England in 2005 and ordained as a Deacon in 2007.
She is currently Assistant Curate at a North London church - as well as being kept busy at Premier as the co-presenter of Inspirational Breakfast.
Cindy has a son James and two cats.
Her hobbies are needlework and tapestry, crosswords and suduko ... and sleeping.
