David Aldous
David has been an actor and broadcaster for most of his working life.
As an actor he's appeared in many TV programmes including 'The Bill' and 'Casualty'. He has also played Leonardo Da Vinci - a role that gave him the perfect excuse to grow his hair and beard.
David's radio credits include BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Radio London.
David has done many voice-overs in his career to date - including commercials for Capital Radio and most of the UK's independent radio stations - and some in the USA too. He is also a regular voice on God TV.
He has written a book called O Love That Will Not Let Me Go, and a stage play of the same name. He is currently penning a second book called Father Me.
Fact box:
- David used to be a bus driver. He once broke down whilst driving up Shaftsbury Avenue - causing gridlock in Central London.
- He once filmed a scene with the great Richard Harris, in a toilet. The film was The Great Kandinski.
- He lost his voice 4 nights before starring in a musical in Germany called 'A slice of Saturday Night'.
- He gave his heart to the Lord when he was 6 years old.
- When filming an episode of 'The Bill' in his very first Television role, they filmed a 3-minute sequence in one go. It was the only time the show has done this. When it came to his lines at the very end of the shot, David fluffed them.
