Lizzie Crow

Early on Lizzie realised her passion lay in presenting. Despite trying almost every other career going nothing ever replaced her burning desire.

Lizzie started out as a Black Thunder girl working for Wyvern FM in her home city of Worcester. This meant being part of the promotional team, enthusiastically giving away station stickers in supermarket car parks in the rain. From these delectable spots she would do outside broadcasts back to the studio, trying to get a foot in the door. There were glamorous moments like dancing in front of 13,000 people at a gig, interviewing the Worcester Warriors rugby team when they reached the premiership and various other live events. However, when the big break seemed to be eluding her, it was time to move on.

At this point Lizzie was given a network show across two stations, Classic Hits & Sunshine 855, doing their late night slot The Weekday Wind Down. All went swimmingly as she did her show, voice-over work and compared at live events. And with interesting listeners, life was never dull.

Lizzie was itching to get to the City and so moved to London to pursue her presenting. Initially she was involved with Five TV behind the scenes until an opportunity presented itself on Premier Radio.

Lizzie presented the Saturday Big Breakfast with Tony Miles from Dec 2007 until Dec 2009, as well as doing a stint on ‘Unsigned’, covering Loretta Fenton’s maternity leave.

It was in 2009 that Lizzie moved to Reading to do the breakfast show for Heart FM, broadcast across Berkshire and North Hampshire. This was a fresh challenge and she loved meeting and interviewing various celebrities from Ricky Gervais, to X Factor winner Alexandra Burke and heart throb Peter Andre. The position also meant hosting various events including a private showing of ‘Sex and the City 2’ in the local cinema, giving career talks in the local school, and visiting the children’s ward at the local hospital as part of the charity event ‘Have a Heart’.

In 2010 Lizzie returned to Premier to present the new-look Big Breakfast with new co-host Dave Gilpin. Not long after starting on the show, she was snapped up to present the network’s flagship show, Inspirational Breakfast, alongside John Pantry. So in February 2011 Lizzie found herself working on both shows and loving every moment!
