Megan Gerrie

Take a dancer, journalist and unlikely 'webbie' - throw them into a big hat, and voilà - Megan Gerrie pops out.

A former dancer for the popular Cutting Edge youth event, Megan moved to London for university and caught the bug for city life.

She started her TV career at CBBC, working in production on some of the best kids TV programmes of this generation. From Top of the Pops Saturday to Newsround and everything in-between, her thumbprint is on them all - in some way or another.

Having left the BBC to study journalism at City University, Megan joined the Premier team in December 2006 as their online Editor. She has overseen the launch of the new website, and can proudly say she was part of the team behind the new look Premier.org.uk.

But it wasn't long before Megan found herself behind the mic and in front of the camera as part of the station's presenting team. A qualified journalist, she's looking forward to her future at Premier, and to bringing you fantastic programmes both on radio and .tv.

• Megan has an actual hole in her elbow - and it makes her queasy just thinking about it.
• She'd have loved to have been a brain surgeon, but an unfortunate tendency to faint at the sight of blood was too great a stumbling block.
