Weekdays 12.05pm & 10.20pm
Let Dr Micha Jazz's weekday devotional - Be Still And Know - bring some Spirit-filled peace into your hectic schedule.
Broadcast first at 12.05pm in Rick's Premier Worship show, then later you can catch Micha's thought again at 10.20pm in Muyiwa's Worship Tonight programme.
I know just how busy life is just now. Family responsibilities, work demands and managing home life. I know that finding a moment of quiet for your daily devotions is very challenging. However, I might have something of an answer. ‘Be Still and Know’ is a fresh approach to creating a moment of calm, Godly reflection for anyone in their hectic schedule.
Designed as a simple meditation, the broadcast invites you, the listener, to pause for 5 minutes, to be still and taken some time with God; to grow to know him better. This 5 minutes is a precious Godspace in which I present a short devotional meditation and invite you to take one minute in silence to reflect upon that thought. On conclusion you can re-engage with your important responsibilities refreshed by God.
It may not sound long because it isn’t long. However, what it lacks in time it makes up for in significance. You will establish a habit of daily reflection, create a Godspace in which you can hear God for yourself.
Someone once said that a journey begins with a single step. Our most important journey with God requires just such a step and this is the step I think will build a path and a pattern of Godly engagement that can revitalise your personal walk with God.
You have two opportunities to listen – lunchtime or bedtime. Your choice – and one that I commend to you and pray will fan into flame your faith in God.
