It’s MON National Marriage Week and we have a stellar line up of relationship experts!
MON 6 FEB: The couple we call Mr & Mrs Marriage – NICKY & SILA LEE - the inspirational pair behind the nationwide Marriage Course will be joining Maria in the studio. Nicky is an ordained minister at HTB church in London and he's been married to Sila since 1976. They have four children and together developed the Marriage Course which runs for eight weeks, as well as a manual simply called 'The Marriage Book.' They’ll be talking about all aspects of marriage, including how to 'affair-proof' your relationship and keep it alive. Plus they’ll be talking about the importance of date nights with your partner, and keeping a marriage strong when you have children. TUES 7 FEB: Have you longed for greater sexual intimacy with your husband? Have you ever thought that sex with your other half was better avoided than celebrated? Maria will be speaking to ED & LISA YOUNG, co-authors of ‘Sexperiment-7 Days to Lasting Intimacy with Your Spouse’. In their book they discuss how to increase your sexual passion in just one week. Maria will be asking is sex really the key to a successful marriage and a stronger sense of God’s purpose?
WEDS 8 FEB: Did you know that only half of marriages last? So statically at least one your friends' marriages will break up in your lifetime. But why is that? Well to help Maria answer that question are authors - JOHN & ANN BENTON - who both run practical marriage seminars. John is a church minister and magazine editor of Evangelicals Now and Ann is an author. They have both penned their latest book - 'Don't They Make a Lovely Couple?' and will be talking about how we prepare for marriage.
THURS 9 FEB: It's easy to fall in love, but harder to know how to have a lasting relationship. It can take years to discover the secrets to making it work, or you might get the some sage advice from your friends and family. DAN & NORI CHESNEY are ministry leaders of Side by Side, which focuses on ministering to broken relationships. They’ll be talking how to ensure that your children don’t negatively affect your relationship.
FRI 10 FEB: Sadly not all relationships make it. PENNY RICH - author of 'First Steps through Separation & Divorce' - will be joining Victoria Laurence to talk about when a relationship is really not working. She’ll be talking about the painful steps of taking counselling and giving tips on seeing the silver lining.
