Dr Quek is a Christian GP and over the next few months will be helping up unpack the symptoms, dispel myths and raising awareness of health issues that us woman need to look out for. On Monday we'll looking at bowel cancer and next month we'll be looking at ovarian and cervical cancer. TUES 21 FEB: It’s London Fashion Week and we’ll be crossing live to the runway to talk to fashion expert PHILIPPA MORGAN WALKER about what's hot and what's not this season. Phillipa is a Christian and she became famous during the London riots last year when she was pictured with her husband handing out tea to residents in Camden. The PM tweeted the pic and the rest is history! And as it’s Shrove Tuesday Maria will be taste testing some pancakes.
WEDS 22 FEB: It’s Ash Wednesday, marking the start of Lent. But what is the significance of the "ash" on this special Wednesday - and how does this all fit into the Easter story? Maria will be looking at ‘abstinence’ in Lent and joining her in the studio will be counsellor & psychotherapist OLAVE SNELLING & RACHEL GARDENER from the Romance Academy.
THURS 23 FEB: Topical Thursday - we’ll be taking your calls in a live phone-in on the topic of the day.
FRI 24 FEB: Loretta Fenton will be speaking to the author from the ‘Lipstick Confessions’ series CLAIRE WRIGHT. The series is aimed to update some of the best-known Old Testament tales and make them relevant to modern times. The first – 'Rosie: Note to Self' was a retelling of the Book of Ruth. The third and the latest in the series - 'Forbidden' - tackles the altogether more controversial story of David and his adulterous, and ultimately murderous, love for Bathsheba.
