Resources

Sunday 2nd September marks the launch of Disability Week 2012, the first national Disability Week organised by Premier Life in partnership with Churches for All.

Disability Sunday presents an opportunity to involve, enable and include disabled people in church services using their gifting to the blessing of the church as a whole, and to include in the services, content that will help the congregation to consider biblical and Christian attitudes to disability.

We want to encourage churches to take part by downloading a Disability Sunday pack entitled ‘Redefine Ability’ with content that links with the London 2012 Paralympics.

Enabling Church Conference

In October 2011 Premier hosted the Enabling Church Conference. A selection of top quality speakers shared their insight for disability through their own experience or that of their families, and offered their Biblical reflections on the subject. The idea was to stimulate a conversation concerning a truly Christian response to disability and disabled people, their inclusion and involvement in every aspect of Church life.

Whether you missed the event, or just wanted a reminder of some of the key points, you can listen to all the brilliant talks right here.
